Earlier this year, AERIS introduced it's new CONTOUR BCD designed especially for women divers. This product has become very popular in a short time. Here are some comments from customers.

"Last year I got an email asking me to talk about what I would want in a new women's BC. After 15 years (4000 dives) of diving with both women's and men's BCs, jackets and rear inflate, recreational and tech BCs...I had something to say. But, the truth is, I didn't have much hope that anybody would really listen to my gripes and comments. What a pleasant surprise when a year later AERIS’ Contour BC showed up on our doorstep. They listened! When I put it on, I started smiling...I was comfortable. There wasn't anything digging into my hips (only cushioning) and I wasn't trying to keep the shoulder straps from sliding down (finally narrower shoulders for women). In fact, every woman I've seen try on the Contour has had the same reaction - a smile and then a sigh of relief. It's a good looking BC that doesn't compromise performance in any areas. There's cushioning everywhere I wish there was, and more places...but it isn't bulky. And, this is truly a BC that fits everybody because of the Custom Fit Harness. We can shorten the shoulder system for women with shorter torsos, or lengthen for longer. I've adjusted waist cummerbunds for women who have a little weight on them but hope to lose that weight..."no need to go up a size… let's just adjust the cummerbund until you are ready." The angled weight pockets make it easy to put in your weights with the BC on or off. There are plenty of D-Rings and areas to mount the necessities...like my knife and retractor for gauges. But nothing gets in the way. This is truly a BC for women...not because of the color, or because someone shrunk a men's BC, but because it was made for women divers by women divers. Gotta love it!"

"I am partial to a jacket-style BC and the Contour has not only great style but also the functionality I was looking for. Good fit, with the contours in all the right places. An integrated weight system that holds enough weight for cold water drysuit diving. The adjustable harness allows me to wear the same BC either cold or warm water diving. All this and it looks GREAT."

I am normally a backplate/wing diver, but I have to say that the new AERIS Contour would be my first choice for a more traditional BCD. It is comfortable, attractive, and very adjustable to accommodate a wide variety of women’s bodies. I really like the fact that you can change the angle of the shoulder straps as well as their length. The Contour swims like a back inflate BCD, but adds the comfort of a jacket BCD when inflated on the surface. I also really like the angle of the new weight pockets – they are easy to load and easy to dump. The trim pockets on the cam band allow for even more customization. I think that customization is the theme with the Contour – it is the most adjustable, adaptable BCD I have ever tried.

Thank You AERIS! Your new Contour BCD is incredible. I was pleasantly surprised when this new BC arrived at our store. Not only is the Contour designed for women, it actually fits, providing a very comfortable, secure feeling in the water. In addition to the great fit and comfort, I was also excited to find the Contour comes with several nice features I have not found on other types of BC’s. The retractor pocket and knife mount built into the BC allowed me to attach my knife securely and allowed easy access to my gauges during my dives. I think AERIS has done a great job in the design and functionality of the new Contour BCD. I look forward to many happy dives in this new BC.

The new Aeris Women's Contour BC is a dream come true. With features that make this a ‘true women’s BC” not just a man’s style in a smaller size. It has an easily adjustable sternum strap to place the cross chest strap where each women, wet suit or dry suit diver, want it for personal comfort. With the hybrid bladder giving me the security of a jacket style and the underwater profile of rear flotation, this BC is incredibly comfortable as well as functional. The Quick Lock Weight system is easy to load and remove, both on land and underwater, giving me the extra comfort of weight integrated, with locking weight pouches that are ditch able in an emergency, no worries about Velcro or the pockets falling out. The heavy duty construction and fade resistance fabric will make this a great BC for both pool training, local dives as well as in the hot tropical sun. The “Custom Fit Harness” with multi-position shoulder strap makes it fit those of us that are vertically challenged, as well as female divers in a normal height range. With all these great features, you’ll love this BC too.

The first thing that impressed me about AERIS’ latest women's specific BC, the Contour, was the unique ability to adjust the torso length. Being only five feet tall, this feature (AERIS’ patented Custom Fit Harness) allowed me to customize the BC fit, a design feature that other BCs don't offer. As a result, the BC is extremely comfortable and provides improved stability in the water. It just fits. Secondly, and most importantly, I really like how the BC performs in the water. The hybrid bladder positioned me comfortably in the water and, at the surface, with the BC full of air, I didn't experience any squeeze -- an advantage of the BC's hybrid bladder. Finally, I like the little things: the QLR weight system that allows me to easily secure my weight pouches, the integrated retractor compartment and knife mounting grommets and the overall styling of the BC.
In design and comfort, AERIS has really gone the extra mile with the Contour and I look forward to sharing its advantages with my female customers.

This BCD rocks. Not just another pretty face, but a fully functional professional female BCD with form & function. Large BCD pockets , ample steel D-rings for accessories & professional styling. The ergonomically designed shoulder straps redistribute the weight across a woman’s back in just the right way. This BCD is brilliantly designed, a real winner.

The Contour BCD by AERIS…what can I say but that it’s “FANTASTIC” Finally, a BCD that fits a woman’s body like it should. This unit has everything that a women needs for recreational diving. I’ve been instructing for the past 10 years and this is the most comfortable BCD that I’ve had the pleasure of diving. Way to go AERIS!

We have found the Contour BCD very easy to fit to our female customers. The three adjustment positions of the shoulder straps really helps get the perfect fit and the hybrid system really makes this a great selling feature. Just lean back and you get the comfort on the surface that a jacket bc gives you. So far they like the fit and comfort. From a salesman point of view this bc has a ton of features that really appeals to the ladies. It sells itself.

The new AERIS Contour women’s bcd has been a female bcd that I as a woman have been waiting for in the AERIS bcd line. Having dived the ATMOS XT for many years (a male cut bcd) the Contour is a welcome pleasure to dive. Finally a bcd designed with the female body in mind. The custom fit harness with multi-position shoulder strap is truly a welcome feature that allows one to create a custom fit. The AERIS Contour bcd has truly been one of the most comfortable bcd’s I have ever worn. Thank-you AERIS for developing something that is extremely comfortable for the woman diver!
